Joel's television credits include appearing in the Afterschool Special "Summer Stories: The Mall" and guest starring on "Due South." His feature film credit is "Roommates."

For theater, he has performed at New York's Shakespeare Festival in "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" and "All's Well That Ends Well," as well as in New York University productions of "Holy Ghosts," "Yankee Dawg, You Die," "The Castle" and "Hamlet," as Hamlet.

He was born April 21 in New Hartford, New York, and raised in Chicago. He graduated with a B.A. from Brown University and followed that with a M.F.A. from the New York University Graduate Acting Program.
